For this year window display, we honor our unique savior faire of Ikat fabrics. From the preparation of the yarn, binding the pattern, dying the colours, weaving and the end result of the fabric itself. The complexity and precision of each step. Inspired by a piece of Chinese porcelain in the bedroom of Jim Thompson House, the story is told through a group of cats that conveys different emotions along the process; curiosity, patience, joy, focus and pride. The cats figures is based on the “Korat”, a short hair breed that originated from Korat (Nakhon Ratchasima) a province in the North-Eastern part of Thailand the home of our silk production.
